"You know what that is? Growth."

Hi there! I’m Oludara. I’m Sabine. And, we’re two black therapists who happen to also be sister-friends. If there’s one thing that the two of us are obsessed with—besides snacks from Trader Joe’s—it's growth. Personal growth. For example, these photos!

2017: Two girls stuntin in muggy AF Brooklyn in the summer of 2017. Ya girl, Oludara (left), is rocking a fresh relaxer (stiff where?!). Meanwhile, Sabine (right) has...hair?! Ah, memories. This year was the start of something new for the both of us. Oludara threw up the deuces to the east coast and her former career as a journalist. She booked a one-way flight to Los Angeles to begin obtaining her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Southern California. Sabine, on the other hand, recently started her grad school program at Fordham University for a Master of Social Work...whiiile still working full-time as a substance abuse counselor. Whew. Girl. 🥴

2019: Here we are posing somewhere around Los Angeles in the summer of 2019. Do you see the chaaange, honey? Now we’re both working therapists with a Master’s degree. Okurrr! 💅🏿 Oludara is still killing the game with fresh hair lewks; but, in braids babyyy with her natural hair protected. Creamy crack? WE DON’T KNOW HER. Sabine is now a bad baldie. It took her some time to make this decision, because...Libra problems. (Insert: Eyeroll from Oludara.) But she did it! Sabine shaved all that hair off and hasn’t looked back...except, to admire the back of her head.

And while our 2019 looks different from 2017, what remains is two friends who have each other’s back. The one thing we always prioritize in our lives, our work with our clients, and our friendship is growth.

Growth is not always what it’s cracked up to be. Sometimes, it’s a bit messy. Ok. Sometimes, it's VERY messy. It hurts. Other times, it can feel so freaking good. Either way, in this lifetime, it is a must and sooo worth it.

That being said, welcome to our page (on Instagram)! In this space, exploring the ins and outs of growth (if you haven't figured that out by now) is the number one mission; along with, laughs and authenticity.
